What would happen if I put my sim card into an iPhone 3g?

First off, I am a part of my moms account and I noticed that under features, it says I have a DataPro 2gb plan but I do not have a iPhone although my mom does. I was just wondering if I took my sim card out of my Sharp FX, would they charge more?
